Asiago-and-Pecan-Crusted Pork Chops

All you need:

  • 1 packet Shake ‘N Bake pork coating mix
  • 3/4 c. finely chopped Hy-Vee pecan pieces
  • 1/2 c. shredded Asiago cheese
  • 1 Hy-Vee large egg
  • 1 tbsp water
  • 1/4 c. Hy-Vee flour
  • 6 (4 oz each) boneless lean pork chops

All you do:

  1. Preheat oven to 400 degrees. Line a baking sheet with aluminum foil and spray with non-stick cooking spray.
  2. In a pie plate, combine coating mix, pecan pieces and cheese. In a separate shallow dish, beat egg with water. Place flour in a third shallow dish.
  3. Dredge pork in flour and then in egg mixture. Thickly coat with pecan mixture, turning to coat both sides evenly. Place on prepared baking sheet.
  4. Bake 20 minutes or until internal temperature reaches 145 degrees. Let stand 5 minutes before serving.
