In Response to Can toning you body help you loose weight?: I started working out/toning last year along with calorie reduction. While I initially lost weight, I now find I am about where I was before. I was only looking to loose 5-8 pounds (remember muscle weighs more that fat) but stopped counting calories. As long as my clothes continue to fit me, I have decided that perhaps I am at a new set point - like it or not - so I stopped worrying about the pounds and concentrated on how I looked and felt.
i know muscle weighs more than fat but i was wondering if it helps you loose the fat weight before you gain the muscle weight? i am 5ft3, and 10stone (or 140lbs) and i was wondering if i try to tone everywhere on my body (such as my legs, stomache, back and arms) would i loose a couple of pounds (lbs)? ___________________________________________ Fat Loss for Idiots
