I am completely non-flexible! I can't even do some simple stretches! How do I get more flexible? I don't like stretching but I'll do whatever it takes! What stretches should I do? Thanks! ____________

To increase your flexibility, make sure to focus a full 10 minutes on stretching most days of the week. Focus on the major muscle groups such as upper body (arms, shoulders, neck), back and lower body (thighs, hamstrings, calves and ankles). It's also important to warm up before you start to stretch your muscles, so you can take a short walk or do some jumping jacks.

When you start your stretching, ease slowly into a stretch and stop when you feel resistance. Stretching should not hurt and you don't want to bounce into a stretch as that can do more damage than good. Remember that flexibility doesn't improve overnight, it takes time to become more flexible.

I myself am not very flexible and I don't enjoy stretching either. However, after a hard workout I find that stretching my tired muscles actually feels good, allows me to relax and will help prevent future muscle soreness and cramping.

Another idea would be to try Pilates or yoga. I've purchased those 30-60 minute Pilates DVD and after a week of daily Pilates I notice a huge difference in my flexibility, plus it was a great workout. It is also can be done in the comfort of your own living room.

Please feel free to ask any additional questions. Happy holidays!

Do exercises regulraly for getting the flexibility and improving your stamina.
Do different cardio exercises daily for at lest 30 minutes. These will improve flexibility and fitness.
Yoga is also very good exercise for getting flexibility. Most of athletes do yoga for improving their flexibility.

what alexandra and adam said is absolutely right. But i'll advice you to be determined first. When you don't have determination to do something, you can't really do anything.
