When I choose a meal from fastfood restaurants, I can see an option to add avocado for healthy eating. I know that it's rich in fiber, but aside from fiber, what else is good about avocado?

When I choose a meal from fastfood restaurants, I can see an option to add avocado for healthy eating. I know that it's rich in fiber, but aside from fiber, what else is good about avocado?

Avocados are one of the foods designed to naturally nourish and protect the heart and would be a smart addition to a heart-healthy diet. Granted, avocados are high in fat, but it’s the type of fat that is good for the heart. Avocados are rich in heart-healthy monounsaturated fat, the type of fat also found in olive oil and nuts. Monounsaturated fats are considered a healthy fat because they may help lower LDL (bad) cholesterol and raise HDL (good) cholesterol. It is recommended to consume more favorable fats (monounsaturated and polyunsaturated) in place of unfavorable fats (saturated).

Avocados also include an abundance of other good-for-your-heart nutrients such as folate and vitamin B6, which may help keep homocysteine levels low, and vitamin E, an antioxidant which may protect the heart against disease. They also contain cholesterol-lowering plant sterols and are a good source of potassium that may help control blood pressure.

It is possible to have too much of a good thing, so it's important to keep in mind proper portion sizes when it comes to avocados. A typical serving of avocado is 1 ounce, or one-fifth of a medium avocado--about two to three thin slices. Per serving, avocados contain about 50 calories and 4.5 grams of total fat.

Wow! So much interesting information about avocados from you, thank you. I love avocado so much, especially as a dessert. I just add enough condensed milk as a sweetening and ice cubes, it is heaven.

Yes you can it. I have seen many good acne treatment online and found good reviews for this product.
