In Response to Why is Hy-Vee adding salt to fresh chicken?:
I noticed this week that the Hy-Vee boneless, skinless chicken breasts now have been injected with salt solution. This eliminates a major, formerly-healthy part of my husband's low sodium diet. I don't understand the need to add sodium & water to packaged meat. Anyone out there understand this?

This breaks my heart because chicken is like the staple meat at our house. I did not realize that. Does Tyson do it as well? I guess we will have to read labels more carefully.
