Yellow Streaks on Clematis Leaves
Q: For the past three years, the leaves on my clematis have had yellow streaks. It stays that way all season and blooms fine. Is there something we can do to help the leaves turn green? Pam – Grinnell
A: Garden lime will darken the leaves. Use ¼ cup per clematis and work it into the soil. Also, fertilize using bone meal—1/2 cup per plant and work in and follow up with water. Apply copper fungicide according to directions in late May and June to prevent mildew.
